YIP - Youth In Philanthropy
Just imagine a community with its youth actively involved in philanthropy.
We all know our youth can be very enthusiastic and passionate about how and why they are involved in supporting causes important to them, their community and their future.
“Canadian community foundation Youth Advisory Councils (YACs) are one of the fastest-growing and most exciting aspects of community engagement and philanthropy today. Through small grants and other leadership activities, YACs are helping community projects make a difference to young people and their communities across Canada.
Youth involved in these YACs are developing skills and networks they need for work and life. It’s a win-win for grant recipients, participants, and communities. “
Canadian community foundations Youth Advisory Councils (YACs) have developed an evaluation toolkit to answer the important questions like, are we making a difference? what are the best ideas, and are we achieving what we set out to do? This toolkit has been developed for YACs but can be adapted for other organizations. We all can learn where our gaps are, how we can improve, how to understand why and where we are doing well.
This toolkit can help everyone involved in philanthropy in nonprofits follow their mission and reach their goals.
Here is where to find the toolkit:
